John Blyzniuk is a Marine Corps Veteran who proudly served his country in two tours in Iraq. After years of suffering from PTSD, John found an emotional outlet in his local gym. His workouts became his go-to routine to help alleviate the burden of this disease that affects more than 8 million Americans.

John’s wife, Michelle Blyzniuk was determined to give her husband a space of his own where he can do what he loves. Michelle entered the family into National Gypsum’s PURPLE-TO-PERFECT contest — an annual contest where the winner receives a custom home remodel. Michelle opted to turn their two-car garage into a man cave and at-home gym for John. 

Amiano & Son Construction is proud to have the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful project for a deserving soldier. We volunteered to build out this garage and even created a one-of-a-kind custom barn door painted as an American Flag. We couldn’t have hoped for a more deserving family when we set out to find a way to give back to our community.
